A swimming advisory that was issued earlier this week at Station Beach has been lifted.
The Municipality of Kincardine says that the most recent tests by Grey Bruce Public Health has deemed the water safe for swimming.
The water testing had previously shown a high concentration of E. coli bacteria in the water, which can cause infections of the skin, eyes, ears, nose, and throat, and can also cause gastrointestinal illness.
Due to the all-clear, advisory signage has been removed.
Grey Bruce Public Health will continue to monitor water quality at public beaches throughout the summer, but water quality can change day-to-day or even hour-to-hour depending on the weather and other conditions.
The municipality says that high bacteria levels usually occur due to weather-related events.
Grey Bruce Public Health also lifted the swimming advisory that was issued for Point Clarke Beach earlier this week.
