Tuggy’s Gas and Variety has made a big donation to the Saugeen First Nation ball diamond and pow wow grounds project.
They’ve donated $65,0000.
Tuggy’s says in a social media post, “None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our customers and the wider community. Your loyalty and trust every day allow us to give back and help build something lasting right here at home.”
Upgrades include a new grandstand, new dugout covers, pitching bullpen areas and walking paths at the site near the James Mason Recreation Centre.
For more information about how to make a donation, you can contact brittany.roote@saugeen.org.
Back in March, the campaign launch announcement stated, “these improvements reflect important needs identified by the community and represent a significant investment in the spaces where members gather, celebrate and engage in recreational activities. These shared spaces not only serve as venues for cultural and athletic events but also as central points that strengthen community connection, promote well-being and foster a sense of pride and belonging.
Tuggy’s Gas and Variety is located in the Saugeen First Nation village along Highway 21.
