Grey Bruce OPP say they seized a gun, fentanyl and cocaine at a traffic stop in Markdale.
They say at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 7th, officers were conducting proactive patrols, and while on Margaret Elizabeth Avenue, an Automated Licence Plate Recognition camera alerted them to a vehicle indicating a Highway Traffic Act offence.
When police stopped the vehicle they say they smelled cannabis, leading to an investigation under the Cannabis Control Act.
Officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm pistol. Police also seized approximately 36 grams of suspected cocaine and approximately 37 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Two 19 year olds, a 20 year old and a 22 year old, all from Brampton face a number of charges related to possession of a firearm, and possession for the purpose of trafficking. charges
