This year’s Owen Sound Attack annual awards barbecue has been cancelled.
The Ontario Hockey League team issued a statement saying the decision was made to call off the event scheduled for June 27 because of conflicts.
“With the recent changes to the timing of the OHL Priority Selection and player and staff commitments surrounding the NHL Draft taking place that same weekend, the organization has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event,” the Attack say in a release.
Fans who purchased tickets to the awards barbecue online will receive an automatic refund. The team says those who paid by cash or credit card in-person will be contacted by staff at the Attack Box Office to arrange a refund.
