Brightshores Health System is holding its 11th annual Mental Health and Addictions Coffee House on Tuesday, May 26, at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.
Running from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the event aims to raise awareness of mental health and addiction within the community.
“For 11 years, the Mental Health Coffee House has created a space where people are met with compassion, dignity, and a true sense of belonging,” says Naomi Vodden, Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services at Brightshores. “It reflects what we know to be essential in mental health care—connection, kindness, and the opportunity for people to show up exactly as they are.”
The coffee house will feature music, poetry, storytelling, art, local vendors, and food, celebrating creativity, connection, and lived experiences in mental health.
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
