You can help shape the future of Wiarton’s Bluewater Park.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula says it’s launching its Bluewater Park & Adjacent Building Master Planning project.
They describe it as “A bold vision to transform some of Wiarton’s most loved spaces into a premier regional destination and vibrant community hub.”
They are looking for public input on it and an online community input survey is open until June 26th.
The Town says you can drop pins on an interactive map to share ideas and site-specific feedback.
They say this particular master plan will focus on a new community hub, better connecting the library, arena, and future town hall with the park and waterfront. The Town says it will also focus on ‘smart land use’ by reviewing the municipal campground to balance access, community needs, and tourism.
The plan will also address playgrounds, pathways, and recreational amenities for all ages and abilities.
It will also look at enhancing the shoreline and improving access to the waterfront.
