The OPP say a stretch of Bruce Road 4 is closed after a single vehicle collision west of Hanover.
Provincial Police responded to the incident overnight and an image posted to social media by the OPP shows a heavily damaged vehicle which appears to have struck a hydro pole.
Bruce Road 4 is closed between Bruce Road 22 and Maple Hill Road.
OPP say hydro crews are are scene for repairs. Natural gas has also been shut off in the area of the collision.
South Bruce OPP say a 23-year-old from Hanover was arrested and charged with impaired and dangerous operation.
