Police in Hanover are investigating a series of incidents involving damaged property that may be connected to a social media challenge.
According to police, officers responded to at least two reports Sunday night around 9 p.m. involving doors being kicked in at homes in subdivisions on the town’s northeast side. In one case, a door was breached before the suspects fled. Fireworks were also reportedly set off during the incidents.
Police say they are exploring whether the incidents are linked to the so-called “Door Kick Challenge” circulating on TikTok.
Investigators believe the suspects involved in both incidents were travelling in a white Honda sedan.
