The Guelph Storm got goals from six different players in a 6-3 win over the Owen Sound Attack in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Guelph (3-5-0-2) ended a five-game losing streak, and also brought an end to Owen Sound’s (9-3) five-game winning streak.
The Storm were in control from the get-go, getting a shorthanded goal just over three minutes into the game off the stick of Leo Serlin.
Alex McLean, Noah Jenken, Charlie Paquette, Wil McFadden and Carter Stevens also scored for Guelph, which led 2-0 after the first and 4-1 after the second.
Pierce Mbuyi, Harry Nansi and Tristan Delisle scored for the Attack.
Zach Jovanovski made 32 saves in the win, while Carter George stopped 29 taking the loss. Shots were 35-35. Guelph went 2 for 5 on the power play; the Attack finished 1 for 4.
Next up for the Attack is a three-game road trip through Windsor, Saginaw and Flint, starting with a date against the Spitfires next Friday, Oct. 24.
