Wind warnings are in place around the Grey Bruce region.
Environment Canada says strong southwesterly winds will develop late this morning as a low pressure system moves over northeastern Ontario.
Gusts between 70-90 kilometres are possible throughout the day.
“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Gusty winds can damage soft shelters, tents and awnings at outdoor events. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur,” Environment Canada says in its warning.
