Bruce County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste event today in Tobermory.
Residents are invited to attend the event at St. Edmunds Landfill from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to dispose of their hazardous waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
Some of the items attendees can dispose of include paints and stains, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, fuel, and more.
Commercial, agricultural and industrial waste will not be accepted, as well as PCB’s, ammunition, and flares.
Additionally, only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.
