A partial fire ban is now in place in Brockton.
The municipality issued a news release Monday morning saying the ban covers open air fires, including agricultural, brush and derelict buildings.
Extreme temperatures and a lack of rainfall are cited as reasons for the partial fire ban.
Recreational fires such as campfires are still permitted.
