Bruce County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event at Sauble Beach later this month.
On Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon, residents are invited to attend the Amabel Works Yard to dispose of their hazardous waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
Attendees can get rid of items including paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, batteries, antifreeze, fertilizers, and more.
Commercial, agricultural and industrial waste will not be accepted, as well as PCB’s, ammunitions, and flares.
Additionally, only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.
