Grey Bruce Public Health is trying to locate the owner of dog involved in a biting incident in Sauble Beach over the Civic holiday long weekend.
Public Health says an individual was bitten outside the Circle K convenience store on Main Street in Sauble around 5 p.m. Sunday (August 3). The dog was tied up outside the store when the biting incident occurred.
“Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies,” Public Health says in a release. “By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.”
Public Health say the dog that bit the individual is described as a medium-sized, brown and white dog. It was wearing a plain collar.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Grey Bruce Public Health.
